Kathrin Maxwell

Kathrin Maxwell is an FEI dressage rider and trainer based in beautiful Kelowna, BC where she runs a large dressage facility The Barn Equestrian.

​

Born and raised in Germany, Kathrin began riding at a very early age and she showed in show jumping and dressage all through her childhood and teenage years. Once she moved to Canada she turned her passion into profession and she has been a  Certified Competition Coach with Equestrian Canada for almost 2 decades now. 

​

Her training approach combines classical techniques with innovative practices, aiming to build a strong foundation and partnership for her students and their horses.

​

Kathrin has successfully coached numerous riders from all backgrounds, many of whom have competed at local, regional and national levels. She has developed several horses to FEI level herself, both on her own horse's and client horses.

 

Kathrin is also committed to continuing her education, regularly attending clinics with some of the best trainers in the industry.
