As an Irwin insight level 4 master trainer, Darcy's focus is on the needs of the horse and how we can communicate and develop a trusting partnership. This partnership is based on understanding who the horse is and figuring out who you are and bringing the two together. Learn to read and listen to the body language of the horse.

Learn about Working Dressage, Ease of Handling through the obstacles and Speed. The focus is on the horse and developing a brave, willing and confident partner.

Kathrin Maxwell


Kathrin Maxwell is a FEI dressage rider and trainer based in beautiful Kelowna, BC, where she runs a large dressage facility. Born and raised in Germany, Kathrin began riding at a very early age and she showed in show jumping and dressage all through her childhood and teenage years. Once she moved to Canada she turned her passion into profession and she is a Certified Competition Coach with Equestrian Canada for almost 2 decades now. Her training approach combines classical techniques with innovative practices, aiming to build a strong foundation and partnership for her students and their horses. Kathrin has successfully coached numerous riders from all backgrounds, many of whom have competed at local, regional and national levels. She developed several horses to FEI level herself, both on her own horses and clients’ horses. Kathrin is also committed to continuing her education, regularly attending clinics with some of the best trainers in the industry.
